An Observation
An interesting observation I made Saturday night while hosting a little get-together. I was reading aloud from my latest book, "Chasing Shadows: Tales of East River". I found my own speaking voice and the way in which I read to be fast, hurried, and frantic- almost like the soul of Amy and her voice. But I clearly have to say that I am a much better writer than public speaker. I think the "voice" of the book should speak for itself it is not something I should be reading aloud. I don't think my own voice does it justice somehow even though it is my own work. Unless I can learn to read my own work in such a way as to capture the pace and rhythm of the work again.
Coming Soon
Coming Soon.... I will be sending out "Midnight Rhapsody" for publication through Pubish America. God willing they will like my proposal and offer me a contract."Midnight Rhapsody" is a complex story of four unique characters who have passed into the realm of vampiric society. Their individual stories emerge through their own words as presented in ttheir journals and diaries. Little do each of these vampires know that there very different lives and histories interwine and ensnare one another. Little do these vampires know that their strange and different pasts are building and shaping to a future that will unite them."Midnight Rhapsody" may only be the begining of a larger series of stories for these characters... still thinking on it.Speaking of sequels... I am currently advancing on the 120 page mark for "While the Wolves Cry", Book Two of the Dragon's Tear Chronicle. I expect the long awaited sequel will be completed by the summer. It promises to be rich in drama, action, and emotion. It should be more of what you've come to expect of me with "Chasing Shadows". Well that's all for now till my next update soon.
